Oh, how I loved the irony of this show! Despite the title of the production, there were no men nor boats! A story based on history, added with a little bit of flavor of comedy and tensions. It was from this show that I received my Irene Ryan Acting Nomination Award for the role of Old Shady. The character was not only fun to play (with his drunkenness and comedy gold!), but it was also enjoyable learning who the real Old Shady was. This 2023 spring production has certainly stayed with me!
